The Sage Mode of the Yakura(八倉仙人モード, Yakura Sennin Môdo) is a state accessed by blending natural energy with one's own chakra, creating senjutsu chakra. This allowed them to tap into the natural force of the world, granting them new abilities and strengthening existing ones.

There is a second state accessible only to Yakura who have undergone the Ritual of Awakening to evolve their Senkeigan into Taigogan. Their dōjutsu will merge directly with natural energy to create an advanced state of simple Sage Mode, which will enhance the user's abilities on a much greater scale.

Acquisition[]

The Sage Mode of the Yakura is learned on Mount Senboku by one of the sage there. Like other Sage Mode users, the user doesn't need to possess a huge chakra reserve given the Yakura's adapted body, although it does have an impact on the user's final power. However, a certain amount is still required for the user to store enough natural energy. The body must also be strong enough to withstand this newfound power.

Learning[]

To enter Sage Mode, the user must absorb a large amount of natural energy and mix it with their own physical and spiritual energy while remaining motionless. If the user absorbs too little natural energy, the technique will not work. If they absorb too much, marks will begin to appear all over their body, and uncontrollable rage will drive them mad. To bring them out of this state, the sage with them must knock them unconscious. Once they have successfully blended their three energies, the user will become a sage. To reach the second state, the user will have to go through the Ritual of Awakening and survive it.

Appearance[]

Rayzen Ermite2

2 horns will appear on top of their head. A black pigmentation will form around the user's eyes, followed by another small mark. The appearance of the two states is identical, the only difference being the appearance of the Taigogan.

Abilities[]

Benefits[]

Since their dōjutsu is now linked to senjutsu, the user can easily enter this state. In this form, the user's abilities become phenomenal.

The user's physical strength, speed, endurance, reflexes, recovery, perception, and durability are dramatically increased. The user also gains the ability to regenerate if they suffer minor injuries and superhuman resistance, being able to withstand powerful attacks.

These sensory abilities are enhanced to their peak, now approaching the level of Ten-Tails jinchūriki. This allows them to sense the chakra around them with great precision and detect attacks without even seeing them. The user's ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu become extremely powerful. The user is now able to manipulate the natural energy around them.

  • A user of the Senboku Mountain hermit techniques demonstrates the ability to use natural energy to solidify the air beneath their feet and use it to stay in the air and move on it.

Drawback[]

When the user first enters this state for the first times, the influx of information they receive can be disruptive and prevent them from truly focusing on the present moment. Their perception of the user is so heightened that they will initially have difficulty synchronizing their thoughts with their movements. Once the user runs out of chakra, they will exit Sage Mode and will only be able to re-enter it once they have recovered a significant portion of their chakra.

Trivia[]

  • Since Sage Mode is now linked to their dōjutsu, it is now impossible for the user to use it without it.
  • Once in Sage Mode, the Taigogan allows them to constantly store natural energy, although it cannot exceed their body's limits.
