Scorch Release: Extremely Steaming Murder

The Scorch Release: Sentence of Paradise (灼遁 楽園の刑, Shakuton: Rakuen no Kei, Viz: Scorch Release: Death Sentence) is an extension of Hōsōshi's abilities provided by Hiroseike, and deduced to be a signature move of him. Grasping the hilt of Hiroseike, Hōsōshi draws the blade scarcely out of its sheath, while channeling his chakra to initiate the scorch ability. The heat – shortly visible between the sheath and hilt – is swallowed by the application of spiritual shape transformation that diverses into three ghastly silhouettes (appearing to be shinigami).

These three silhouettes function quite similar to extremely steaming murder: when a silhouette phases through an opponent, it apparently evaporates all the water inside their body, leaving them in a mummified state. Upon doing so, the silhouette will disappear and regenerates again at the hilt of Hiroseike. Though, unlike the related technique, Hōsōshi does not control these 'silhouettes' that randomly target hostiles and sometimes allies.

Trivia

  • Mentioned by Shuten, it is possible that these "things" are motivated by Hōsōshi's emotional state.
