The Senshiken (穿刺拳, Piercing Fist) is a melee taijutsu taught only by the Clan Yakura, but can also be used by the Hyūga Clan who possess the Byakugan due to its similarity to the Jūken.

Principle[]

The goal of this taijutsu style is to strike the opponent to disrupt their chakra by injecting it with one's own chakra, similar to the Byakugan. The injected chakra then circulates through the victim's chakra circulatory system, damaging vital organs in the process. Since the defenses of vital organs cannot be strengthened, the damage caused will be significant.

Senshiken is based on countering the opponent's various attacks by deflecting their blows and violently counterattacking by targeting their pressure points. This fighting style combines speed, agility, and precision, making it perfect for the Yakura given their physical attributes.

Through the use of this technique, the user is able to numb or even temporarily paralyze the targeted limbs, as well as reduce the target's chakra flow, preventing them from properly using taijutsu and ninjutsu.

Although effective, this taijutsu, being used in close combat, makes it ineffective offensively against an opponent fighting at a distance.

Trivia[]

  • The Senshiken was created by Kageyama Yakura and Hana Yakura, who was unable to use the Jūken properly. However, the form used today was created hundreds of years later.
  • Although similar, the Senshiken is a slightly more aggressive form of Jūken.
