Sentei Hatake (はたけ センテイ, Hatake Sentei) is the "Tenth Hokage" (十代目火影, Jūdaime Hokage; lit. "Tenth Fire Shadow") of Konohagakure. He was a former member of the Daimyō Kyōkomaru Tokugawa's elite guard, and was personally recommended to the Hokage position by the feudal lord. Unique from his predecessors, he seeks to expand the influence of Konohagakure outside of the village itself, and has begun to form alliances across the Land of Fire in a bid to unify the country following rising threats.

Sentei's tremendous aptitude in chakra control and his forthright, honest persona during negotiations has lead him to be internationally renowned as the "Empty-Handed Ninja" (無手忍者, Mute Ninja), a title that soothes his allies and stirs fear among his enemies.
