Shikainu Nara (奈良鹿犬, Nara Shikainu) is shinobi of Konohagakure's Nara clan. He made member of Team 9 and seventeenth generation of Ino-Shika-Cho. He served as chief aide to Kaiser when he became the Sixth Hokage.

Background

Shikainu is the first-born child of Shikama, one-year later became an older-brother to his sister. Shikainu was childhood friends with Inohoshi and Chōkaku. They're childhood were considered violent as they were born during the Third Shinobi World War. At the age of 7, Shikainu enrolled into the Academy with Inohoshi and Chōkaku, upon meeting Kaiser and Itachi. Kaiser seemed fond of Shikainu and his friends and started hanging out with them in the Academy, eventually forming a friend group. Chōkaku offered Kaiser and Shikainu some snacks, and some other kids came up to them and started bullying him, which Kaiser stepped in and beat them all up. Shikainu shown no interest in the class itself, preferring to spend his time sleeping rather than listen to teacher's lessons.

At the age of 10, Shikainu made member of Team 9, eventually having the seventeenth generation of Ino-Shika-Cho. Shikainu took some training from his father, learning techniques from the Nara clan and even learning the Shadow-Clone Technique. Shikainu and his team were later recommended in the Chūnin Exams, Shikainu didn't want to the participate in the Preliminaries and wanted to forfeit, which made Kaiser shove him into the arena, otherwise he'll hear complaints from his sister. Shikainu was able to win the Preliminaries, was supposed to fight Kaiser but choose to finally forfeit as he didn't want to fight his friend and he'll just figure out his moves.

Sometime later as the Jōnin Exams were announced, Team 9 was issued to assist Team Supernova into fighting along with Kirigakure. Aftermath, the exams were postponed for another month. After a month, Team 9 was appointed to Jōnin.

Personality

Shikainu is naturally a lazy person and equanimous. During the Academy, he would prefer to sleep or zoning out during lessons. He enjoys his time playing shōgi and talk casual with his friends. He often ignores himself being lectured by his younger sister, who had seemed into inherited his mother's personality. During missions, Shikainu appears to be merciless and had no qualms as he's permitted to kill or injure an opponent.

Shikainu has a strong-believe of the Will of Fire as he takes it upon himself to do all that he can to make things better for future Konoha generations. Besides his childhood friends, Shikainu shares a rare friendship with Kaiser, even practically accepting sparring with him, and helping him in needs. With his sister, Shikaya. He shares an aggressive calm family-ship but stills help her and protect her when she's in danger.

Overtime, Shikainu recognized Kaiser great contributions to the village, and later took on the role as his Chief-Advisor, supporting him. Prior to his role, Shikainu shares methodical and more insightful viewpoint and became more informative, suggesting a clear point reasonings to Kaiser in action for the village.

Appearance

Shikainu has fair-complexation with narrow-brown eyes and have a typical bored expression displayed on his face. He has dark hair tied up into a spiky ponytail, with two long strands of hair loose on either side of his face.

He wears wore a meshed shirt underneath with a torn short-sleeved black jacket, with dark green around the edges. and the rudimentary Nara clan symbol on the back. He wears black pants, a pair of his clan's traditional silver hoop earrings and wears a blue forehead protector.

Abilities

Shikainu has shown great potential and was an excellent Shinobi of his head and Konoha, His skills and reliability garnered him high respect from other powerful ninjas, Shikainu was able to be appointed as Chūnin despite have a lack of fighting. His skills led to him being right-hand man of the Sixth Hokage.

Nara Clan Techniques

As part of the Nara clan, he had mastered his clan's secret techniques which revolve around the use of shadows after he was a part of Team 9, he was able to bound and killed several invading shinobi, his speed and strength with the technique allowed him to restrain his opponents, and Five Kage before going into chaos, excluding the Hokage with the capabilities of escaping him bindings.

Along with this, Shikainu could work flawlessly with his team-mates, Chōkaku and Inohoshi, due to the strong bond forged between their clans and their long-standing friendship. Sometime later, Shikainu's prowess with his clan techniques enabled him to perform them without hand seals.

Intelligence

After Shikainu was assigned to Team 9, Shikainu seemed to be showing lack of motivation for training, Shikainu was later set-up to play shōgi with Shikaku Nara, who suspected that Shikainu has an IQ of over 200; his poor-grades was because he lacked motivation and was too lazy. Shikainu seems confident in his Intelligence, being able to formulate an extreme tactic to capture his opponents with his team-mates.

Shikainu was renowned due to intellect. When in combat, Shikainu proceeds to be stay calm and take precautions of all actions of his allies and enemies. he studies the behavior of all combatants, gradually learning how they react in any given situation. By then focusing on this vast amount of information. Shikainu can devise and arrange any strategies that he could come up with, where he could set up various objects to deceive them.
