Shikari Yūkionna, also known as Shikari Nara, and formerly codenamed Kōri (氷), is a former member of Konohagakure's disbanded ANBU faction Root and former member of Team Fue. After the Fourth Shinobi World War, he became renowned in the continent of Méihuā as the "Cold-Blooded Snake Sage" due to his work with Fuyugakure ANBU.
Background[]
Early Life[]
Shikari and his mother.
Shikari was born in the Land of Snow to a Yukigakure kunoichi and Kirigakure shinobi. His father would later die in the line of duty. At some point after that, Shikari's mother left Yukigakure and Kirigakure-she didnt want Shikari to be corrupted by the Hidden Mist's dark practices. This was in the hopes that they would not suffer because of Shikari's skill to not only manipulatie pre-existing ice, but to create ice from thin air. They would come to settle in the Konoha. Shikari's mother marries a member of the Nara clan and enjoys happiness for a time.
But one day, while Shikari was playing in the woods with his parents, the three were attacked by a team of Hunter-nin looking to bring them back to Kirigakure. Shikari used the Ice Release he'd inherited from his mother's Yukigakure lineage to save them but killing his own mother and step-father in the process. With no other close family members left, Shikari lived alone for some time. Due to the lack of control over his ice release, Shikari could not attend the Academy without risking the well-being of his peers. One day, Danzō Shimura approached Shikari with the desire to recruit another young member of secret technique-using clan for Root. He is given the code name "Kōri".
ANBU Career[]
In the events to follow the Third Great Shinobi War, Shikari received a mission to assassinate Hiruzen Sarutobi before he could be reinstated as Hokage. Disguised as a foreign shinobi, he fought the ANBU accompanying his target, who turned out to be a disguised Kakashi.
Shikari and Arikurin attack Shisui
Team Fue, with Arikurin, Shimora, and Sekkei, is sent are sent to find a pair of Konoha ANBU in possession of a scroll containing information about a traitor. During this mission, they have one of the ANBU cornered. Shisui and Itachi Uchiha, however, soon intervened and attacked Arikurin and his teammates. The attacked Anbu, a water clone, dissolves. The Root members remain unconcerned, with Arikurin already located the real one.
Shikari attacks with a blade of ice
A fight begins between Shisui, itachi and the three Root members. Using his Body Flicker technique, Shisui proved to be quite the challenge for Sekkei. Itachi managed to turn a trap Shimora had placed, causing himi to ensnare herself instead of his opponent until freed by Shikari. Not having the authorization to kill members of the Uchiha clan, Arikurin, Shimora, and Shikari were forced to retreat.
Team Mukai[]

Danzo soon believed that a Konoha-nin had been selling secrets to Kirigakure. In order to monitor him. Shikari and Arikurin formed Team Mukai. They were later part of a team assigned to provide security to the Land of Fire's daimyō during his annual visit to Konoha. The team was lead by Mukai Kohinata. Konoha's Team 2 publicly served as the daimyō's escorts, while Arikurin and Mukai followed in the shadows to monitor for threats. When the daimyō's entourage was confronted by the masked man, Mukai and most of the other ANBU fell prey to the man's Genjutsu. Only Arikurin and Kakashi Hatake resisted the Genjutsu, but it took him some time to free Mukai and the others. They went to the daimyō's defence as soon as they were able, but the masked man had already been driven off by Itachi Uchiha.
They were then sent to infiltrate Sunagakure and monitor a meeting between the Fourth Kazekage and a representative from Kirigakure; their villages were secretly developing an alliance. Such an alliance would break the delicate peace that had been formed after the conclusion of the Third Shinobi World War, and inevitably initiate another war. Mukai's team was to gather information, so that Konoha could take the necessary steps to prevent this from happening. Although they went unnoticed during the reconnaissance itself, a booby trap was hit as they were leaving, alerting Suna's ninja to their presence.
Mukai defeats multiple Suna ANBU using Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven
Mukai and his team rushed from the village, trying to cross the border back into the Land of Fire before the Suna-nin could catch up to them. However, as they traveled, Arikurin became convinced that the Suna-nin would catch them as he heard them getting closer and closer. It wasn't long until the Suna-nin had completely surrounded them. Arikurin helped Mukai defeat more than twenty Suna-nin in close combat. With their pursuers dealt with, Mukai and his team resumed their course back to Konoha. In the end, because Suna and Kiri's planned alliance had been discovered by Konoha before it could be formalized, the two villages were forced to abondon it.
Personality[]
Prologue: Team Fue
In his tender years, Shikari was a very cheerful child who greatly admired having fun. After losing his parents Shikari is a rather mellow individual and is very mature for his age. Like all other members of the ANBU faction, Root, Shikari lacked a personality due to the gruelling training regimen Danzō had them undergo at a young age. As such, he acted merely as a tool that carries out Danzō's orders. The only discernible trait that he and the other members had shown was fierce loyalty towards Danzō and some degree of level-headedness. He was still loyal to Root's founder Danzō Shimura until his death and was apparently trustworthy enough to be given the task of delivering top-secret information for him.
Appearance[]
Part I-II: Shikari
Shikari has two scars on his nose which is probably his most noticeable feature. Like his step-father he has his dark hair tied up into a spiky ponytail. Shikari wears a white ANBU mask with purple coloring. He carries a large broad word and his ears were also pierced. His attire consists of black clothing, a grey flak jacket, metal arm guards and gloves, ninja sandals with spikes for traveling into mountainous regions, three ninja pouches on their back-waist and a signature spiral tattoo on their shoulder. Shikari also wears a black forehead protector with the Konoha's symbol upon it.
By the New Era, Kori's hair has turned completely grey. His right eye was lost in battle during the Fourth Great Ninja War leaving scars around it. He wears a large black winter jack with brown fur on the hood.
Abilities[]
Ice Release[]
Ice Release: Ice Wall
Kori's nature transformations include Yin Release, which he commonly uses to perform his hiden techniques, as well as Water and Wind Release. Kori's combines water with wind nature transformation to create his ice release. His ice release is dependent on moisture in the air, preventing him from forming ice in dry conditions. He can plant ice particles on targets, causing them to freeze to death if they don't constantly use their chakra to keep themselves warm and can lower his own body temperature so that his movements will not activate thermal sensors.
Taijutsu[]
Shikari encases his hands with ice, strengthening his taijutsu strikes and making it easier for him to block opponents' taijutsu. Also, he denses the ice in order ro raise the weight to penetrate strong defences. These techniques could also affect chakra-based substances, such as a Susanoo. He can also shoot shards of ice at targets.
Iceberg Mode[]
Part I-II: Iceberg Mode
Shikari became able to use his Ice Release to temporarily give himself a much more muscular and well-defined in build, further enhancing his already incredible taijutsu. Using the Water in his body, Shikari flows ice-natured chakra through all or parts of their body, causing it to become noticeably bigger, all while increasing their defensive power to become as hard as diamond.
Kenjutsu[]

Shikari uses a sword that he can harden with ice. Even with a heavier blade due to the ice, Shikari still has keen reflexes. He is able to draw a kunai just in time to block an attack despite being inches away from his opponent and, is fast enough to use his sword to deflect kunai thrown at him, while he was in mid-air. Shikari displays great physical strength and precision in his sword attacks, slicing through and shattering several boulders with only a single strike.

Shikari is very skilled with his clan's secret techniques, able to use the Shadow Imitation Shadow Bind Technique to attach their shadow to a target to extend its range and catch its actual target. He is also capable of using the Shadow Sewing Technique.

Senjutsu[]
Shikari Nara enters Sage Mode
Shikari eventually tracked down the power source at the Ryūchi Cave and mastered senjutsu during the blank period. He was taught how to use senjutsu by White Snake Sage, which he can use to increase his speed, durability, and physical strength. He can also use it to empower his other ninjutsu. Shikari is also able to achieve Sage Mode. Unique to him, he gains a subzero shroud of mist that forms into snakes with ice fangs around his body to aid in his attack range allowing him to grab and bite opponents. Because he learned Senjutsu later in life, after prolonged usage he is forced to rest days at a time.

Prologue[]
Nohkan Gaiden: A Puppet Musical[]
Tracking Orochimaru after his defection from Konohagakure, Team Fue finds him in battle with Akatsuki members, Sasori and Deidara. Sasori brings out his Third Kazekage puppet. While, Orochimaru summoned the actual Third Kazekage through the Second Hokage's Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation. While proving his reincarnated ninja to be stronger than the human puppet, the technique ultimately proved incomplete as the Third Kazekage was able to regain control and break the summoning contract. Orchimaru chose this moment to flee.
Sekkei opts to continue to trail Orochimaru while the others plan to attack Sasori and get the location of the Akatsuki base, Sasori is ambushed by Team Fue. The Third Kazekage puppet, already damaged from the previous fight, takes a hard hit from Arikurin. Outnumbered and outmatched, Sasori manages to poison Shikari. While be tended to by Shimora. Arikurin is blindsided by Deidara who escapes with Sasori. The intel from their encounter is later added to the Bingo Book.
Bear Spirit Arc[]
Team Fue assigned a mission
After Sekkei is removed from active duty, Team Fue is tasked with infiltrating the Land of Bears to gain useable itel on the mysterious Peacock Method. The team infiltrated Tsume Village by posing as hired workers to build one of their multiple bridges. Team Fue stays with on a campsite, where other construction workers are staying for the duration of the repair works. A few days later, 2 shinobi arrive in the village from Hoshigakure. They discuss the legend of the spirit that inhabits the forests. Papu, also known as The Bear Spirit, is causing disappearances in the nearby forests one-by-one. Later that night when Team Fue investigates in the forest, Arikurin uses his Byakugan to look for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary and notices strange chakra trail and follows it. They find themselves near a dead end in the middle of the forest.
Land of Woods Alliance[]
Team Ro and Team Fue are assigned a joint misson
2 years later, the village moved for a potential alliance with the Land of Woods, agreeing to trade special scrolls as a sign of trust. Arikurin and Shikari were added to the 2-man team of Team Ro. They were sent to watch over the exchange of information between a team from Konohagakure and the Prajñā Group of the Land of Woods. In the likely event of betrayal, they were to eliminate all opposition which actually happened, as the Prajñā Group indeed attempted to betray Konohagakure.

Following this incident, Team Fue is tasked with infiltrating the land of grass to track the remaining members of the Prajna Group. The team infiltrated Kusagakure by posing as hired workers to rebuild Kannabi Bridge.One work day, 4 Prajna Group members are sent to provide security to the builders. Arikurin plays a paralysis genjutsu while they on duty, allowing each member of Team Fue to take one out. Shikari takes out the quad leader with his Ice Release. With their mission complete, Team Fue returns to Konoha. returns to Konoha.
Uchiha Incident[]
Team Fue ambushes Asami Uchiha
Root then shifted their attention towards Asami Uchiha who they deem very suspicious having recently joined Konoha. Asami was compliant at first having intentions of accepting Danzo's invitation to join Root, even becoming comfortable working Arikurin and his team. But as the news of Shisui’s suicide came known, Asami’s own suspicions of Danzo and root were proved correct. Knowing that the girl wasn’t on the Root’s side anymore, Danzō ordered to take her Sharingan and eliminate her with no traces, a common practice for traitors to prevent any inside information leaking out. She came to fight the very first man who have accepted her in Root. Emotions of anger and sadness took over her as she came to awaken her Sharingan, nearly escaping death.
Team Fue arrives at the Uchiha Compund
Shortly afterwards, Team Fue was sent to the Uchiha Clan's compound. Having realized Danzō could not be trusted to keep his promises, Itachi disguised a crow clone as a member of Root to threaten Danzō. He threatened to leak Konoha's secrets to enemy villages if Sasuke was harmed. Unknown to Root, Itachi left the village publicly a traitor but secretly with a new mission: to infiltrate Tobi's organisation, Akatsuki, and keep it from moving against Konoha. Later, Itachi was ambushed by his former Anbu squad under orders from Danzō, only to trick them into killing each other using genjutsu.
Part I[]
Sugi Village Secret Scroll[]
Team Fue clashes with the Nokizaru Group
Intel reported Kumogakure stole a scroll containing secret ninjutsu belonging to Sugi village. Team Fue is then tasked with stealing the scroll or finding out what the technique concerned. It was apparently powerful enough for the Fourth Raikage himself to be involved in the mission to obtain it. Later, Team Fue clashes with the Nokizaru Group who had been hired and were returning to Sugi Village. After a brief clash with these mercenary ninjas, Shikari, is wounded and infected with an Exploding Insect. With his BYakugan, Arikurin determined the insect grows inside into a spider-like parasite that explodes, killing the host. The insect's growth depends on how much chakra the host is using and a massive amount of chakra can speed up the growth process. When Shimora completes a procedure, she notices and destroys an odd bug which had been hovering near them for some time. Unbeknownst to the Nokizaru Group, Shimora used her own bugs to find them which allowed Team Fue to finish them off and obtain the scroll.
Chunin Exam[]

Shortly after the second stage gets underway, Anko Mitarashi is alerted to the discovery of three dead Kusa-nin, among them Shiore. From examining the bodies it becomes clear to her that they've been dead for some time and, because they're all missing their faces, she concludes that Orochimaru has infiltrated the Chūnin Exams. She orders that the Third Hokage be informed of what's happened. Then, two teams of ANBU, including Team Fue sent by Danzō Shimura, are deployed into the forest to find Orochimaru. Anko is the first to find Orochimaru but she is easily defeated. Orochimaru reactivated her dormant Cursed Seal of Heaven, and warned her not to cancel the Chūnin Exams before departing.
Konoha Crush[]
Team Fue defends Konoha
Shikari and other Anbu members were stationed in the Chūnin Exams arena during the final rounds of the Chūnin Exams. When Orochimaru launched the Konoha Crush, Shikari and his team rushed to help the civilians.
Search for Tsunade[]
eam Fue arrives at the location and Arikurin uses his Byakugan to find Itachi resting in a cave and Kisame guarding the entrance. Intel stated that, Itachi used Tsukuyomi earlier and it wasn't easy to recover from it. The plan was to defeat Kisame before trying to take down Itachi. By causing the temperature of air to fall below the freezing point, Shikari's filled the cave a visually clouding frost , effectively freezing any ambient water vapour in the vicinity. The frost allows him to become transparent within it. Before Kisame could ready his Samehada to defend himself, they were trapped in Shikari's Ice Release: Frozen Capturing Field. Arikurin appears and fires a Vibration Control: Bullet at Kisame but that later used Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave to break free.
Shikari immediately followed up by shooting numerous amount of extremely large jets of water from his mouth as Kisame descends from his wave. Within the jets of water bombarding Kisame, were poison tipped senbon from his teammate that left multiple swelling pustules across his body. From observing the wounds, Kisame guessed he'd been poisoned. Itachi finally joined the fight, attacking Arikurin with a Great Fireball Technique. When he avoided that attack, the real Itachi appeared, catching Arikurin with Tsukuyomi and, in an instant, torturing him with the sensation of drowning for two full days. Arikurin eventually collapsed from the trauma and Itachi collapses from exhaustion. forcing Kisame to flee the area with Itachi.
Spirit Sisters Mission[]

Kazuno's barrier
Short on manpower, Tsunade is forced to use Danzo's root operatives. Arikurin accepts the mission to back-up Team 4 and assembles Team Fue. Upon arriving at Kusagakure, they are stopped by what seems to be a barrier. Shikari is the first to try to break through the barrier with his Ice blade but the barrier seems unphased. Arikurin attempts to break through the barrier with his Orchestral Stab, his strongest taijutsu attack. But it still doesn't seem to drop the barrier. Sheer force alone wouldn't be enough to break through.
Team Fue easily defeats the barrier team
Still on the outside of the barrier, Shikari freezes the ground beneath them, in order to create a tunnel as a way of getting in. The barrier, however, went as far underneath as it did above. Shimora then uses her insects to scout the area and finds members of the Kusagakure Barrier team nearby. She relays their location to Arikurin and Shikari who head towards them immediately. Activating his Byakugan, Arikurin uses his Shindo Tanto and swipes his Kunai by his opponents ear-attempting to place the Kusagakure ninja under a genjutsu and force him reveal the barrier codes. When this fails, he realizes that they were already under a genjutsu. After finally breaking through the barrier, Arikurin could sense two very powerful chakra's in two seperate locations. He orders Team Fue to split up. Shimora heads toward the direction of Yasu and Takeru, while Arikurin and Shikari head to aid Sayuki.
When Sayuki when back to help Shimora and Team 4, Shikari and Arikurin continue attack Kazuno. Shikari immediately froze Kazuno's feet to the floor, activating his Iceberg mode and bagn to attack Kazuno. Arikurin forms another Orchestral Stab and has his shadow clones corner Kazuno While Kazuno deals with the clones and Shikari, the real Arikuin manages to sneak up on Kazuno and lands an Orchestral Stab. Knocked into the wall, Kazuno falls to the ground, seemingly defeated. This however is just a ploy. When Shikari gets in close he realizes Kazuno is still conscious. Shikari is forced to fight alone while Arikuin replenishes his chakra. In the end, Biwako came in time to save her and ended the fight. Shikari was badly poisoned in this fight. As the group weas near exhaustion, Yasu mustered enough chakra for Arikurin to make one last attack, trapping the nine-headed pheasant in a Curse Mandala. But Kazuno quickly absorbed the Ninjutsu forcing Arikurin to use an S.S.G to escape with his team. Takeru, left standing alone, could only watch as Biwako carried Kazuno away.
Sasuke Recovery Mission[]
Shikari traps Sakon and Ukon in ice
At the request of the Lady Tsuande, Arikurin was to send word to Suna for back-up. Still untrusting of them because of the Konoha Crush. Danzo' orders Team Fue to retrieve Sasuke Uchiha. Shimora decide to stay behind after finding both Choji and Neji critically injured. Arikurin and Shikari, however, decide to split up after they have located Shikamaru and Kiba. Shikari was unaffected by Sakon and Ukon's ability to fuse with cells. When Sakon arrived, he attempted to do the same thing he had almost done with Kiba, but Shikari's body temperature was too low, forcing them to fuse back. Shikari easily defeated them with the Ice Prison Technique. Not long after, Shimora arrived with the Konoha Medics.
Mizuki Tracking Mission[]

Shikari round up escaped prisoners from the Konoha Strict Correctional Facility. He stalls Fūjin and Raijin while Arikurin continues to chase Mizuki.
Part II[]
Twelve Guardian Ninja[]
Shikari is dispatched
During the black out, when the tomb robbers emerged again to attack Konoha, Shikari was one of the few jōnin still available to defend the village. He was then sent out to stop one of the resurrected Ninja Guardians from completing the Limelight technique. Later, during the attack on Konohagakure, Fudō ploughed through Konoha's defences and summoned hundreds of undead ninja to preoccupy the remaining Konohagakure shinobi. Fudō's battle style was usually at close-range, using powerful taijutsu strikes. He showed tremendous strength, as he effortlessly broke free from Yamato's wood bindings and ploughing through solid stone. Eventually Shikari faces him with his Iceberg mode. Upon his death, Fudō's reanimation technique was cancelled, causing all zombies around the village to turn to dust.
When Kazuma's initial plan to destroy Konoha by using four resurrected Ninja Guardian members to perform Limelight failed, he decided to rely on unleashing the full force of Sora's demonic chakra, knowing full well that Sora's body would not be able to handle it and that he would ultimately destroy everything around him.
Three Tails' Appearance[]
The rest of Team Fue assembled to help with the sealing of Three-Tails. One to way to meet up with Shimora later that night, Rinji sets out on patrol and orders the bat to relay a message for him. In the woods, Arikurin hears the ultrasonic frequency and heads to the location with Team Fue. After activating his Byakugan, Arikurin notices chakra signatures of enemies up ahead of them. Team Fue battled alongside Tenten against Guren and Rinji on the lake while Team Three tried to seal the Three-Tails. After the beast went berserk, he and the others retreated, carrying a critically injured Arikurin to shore. Arikurin senses a dark chakra due to the enemies' cursed seals being activated but is unable to move until fully healed by Shimora.
Mission: Eliminate Yuichi Uchiha[]

Shikari aids in the capture and intel gathering of Yuichi Uchiha. Shikari later receives an insect message stating that she is luring Yuichi back to Konoha. The other members of Team Fue waited in the forest. A small cloud of black bugs swarmed around them, confirming Shimora was nearby. After placing Yuichi in a Genjutsu, Arikurin navigated through the many traps in Yuchis mind saw a memory of Yuichi and Itachi having a conversation at the Uchiha Hideout. Later, Team Fue and Yuichi arrived at the Uchiha Hideout only to find Itachi dead and no sign of Sasuke.
Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation[]
Team Fue and the Third Division
During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Shikari is originally of the Allied Shinobi Forces' Third Division. While seeking out an Akatsuki force, they notice and heads towards one of the Surprise Attack Division's distress flares. The Third Division arrives in time to save them from the reincarnated Gari, Pakura, Haku, and Zabuza Momochi. Soon after, Zabuza uses the Hiding in Mist Technique to hide his and the others' movements, putting the Third Division on the defensive. As the battle gets under-way, Zabuza covers the battlefield in a thick mist under the cover of which the reincarnated shinobi attack. Cautioning his troops before they attack, Kakashi tells them to get into the Manji Formation in order to protect each others' backs.
Shikari vs Jinin
As dawn broke the next day, the division is set upon by Gari, Pakura, Jinpachi Munashi, Kushimaru Kuriarare, Ameyuri Ringo, and Jinin Akebino — all of whom take to guerilla tactics to divide the division's forces and take them down individually, and upon realising this, Kakashi sends word to his division to stay together. Jinin is eventually sealed by Arikurin. With Jinin sealed, the other reincarnated shinobi retreat and they are ordered not to pursue them individually.
Team Fue arrives at the barrier
Elsewhere, The Sound Four are reincarnated by Kabuto Yakushi to fight. Kabuto tells them he is helping Orochimaru grant them a wish by allowing them to take vengeance against those who killed them. Arikurin hears Tayuyas flute and sends a swiftlet to find its location and report to HQ. The Sound Four seek out and engage the members of the Recovery Team they fought before they died. Although they are unable to compete with the now-stronger Recovery Team, the Sound Four are able to trap them all with the Space–Time Technique Formula: Underworld Turnover, which promises to kill them all given enough time. However Shikamaru tricks the Sound Four into amplifying their hatred, attracting Naruto and Team Fue to their location and allowing them to release the Recovery Team, defeat the Sound Four, and send their souls back to the Pure Land.
Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax[]
Kabuto decides to use Madara against the Allied Shinobi Forces and uses Mū as a medium to summon him to the battlefield. After Kabuto points out that he has restored Madara to a state beyond his prime, Madara tests his on the Fourth Division. He pushes forward and takes down a large portion of the Fourth Division using only taijutsu and kenjutsu to dominate them, with the aid of his Sharingan to evade their attacks.
Shikari receives Nine-Tails Chakra from Naruto
Shikari and rest of the Allied Shinobi Forces arrive at the battlefield, revealed as the Ten-Tails swipes its tail to blow away their cover. During the battle, Naruto is able to give protective version 1-like cloaks to most of the allies in time. The Alliance sequentially blinds the Ten-Tails, sinks it into the ground, and binds it with a quick-drying mixture of water and quicklime. Madara notes the good coordination from shinobi from different countries. Shikaku instructs the Alliance to cooperate with Naruto in exploiting the limits of Obito's intangibility, and taijutsu-capable shinobi to attack Madara. After defending the Alliance from Obito and Madara's various attacks, Naruto begins to tire from micromanaging Kurama's chakra. When Naruto is injured saving everyone from Tenpenchii, Sakura heals him and encourages the other Allies not to give up hope, even in the face of the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Ball. They are saved by the arrival of the reincarnated 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Hokage. Entering Sage Mode, Hashirama uses Sage Art: Gate of the Great God to bind the Ten-Tails, then assists the other Hokage in erecting a barrier to confine it.
Birth of the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki[]
To move ahead with his plans, Obito created a replica of the God Tree, the first step in performing the Infinite Tsukuyomi. The tree started absorbing chakra from those nearby. Shikari activates his ice berg mode and is able to fend off the vines. He later freezes the vines that have Arikurin trapped.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki Strikes[]
By reflecting his Rinne Sharingan on the moon, Madara activates the Infinite Tsukuyomi. The bright light traps Shikari alongside most people are immobilised by the genjutsu and restrained by the Ten-Tails' roots.

Infiltrate The Land of Silence[]
The events of this arc conicide with Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness
Kakashi sent Shikari, Sai and a team of ANBU to the Land of Silence to investigate, but all go missing; the last communiqué suggests the Land of Silence's leader, Gengo, may be behind it all. In order to protect the Shinobi Union's interests, Gengo must be assassinated. Sai sends a message using his super beast imitating drawing to Kakashi. Kakashi and Shikamaru are concerned by a number of things in Sai's message: the clear haste it was written with, not having Sai's characteristically clear handwriting. He warns of the threat posed by Gengo, the Land of Silence's strangely charismatic leader.

It takes Arikurin 2 days of nonstop travel to reach the Land of Silence. He infiltrates the capital city that evening so that he can try to find Shikari. Arikurin follows a group of men after over hearing them talk about a Konoha ANBU that spied on them a while back. He spots a former Konoha ANBU, Minoichi, who went missing in the last war, after killing his unit. Arikurin easily defeats him and places a self-curing seal on him. As Arikurin interrogates him, he learns more of Gengo's ideology. He learns that Gengo and his Enlightened Ones overthrew the previous daimyō and now rule the country. The Enlightened Ones all speak reverently of Gengo and criticise the shinobi system. And yet, the Land of Silence offers shinobi services (albeit at significantly cheaper prices), and so they are only reproducing the very system they claim to hate. Gengo will appears for a public speech tomorrow night.
Shikari is revealed to be a guard, having been converted by Gengo. Arikurin is forced to fight his long time teammate. After defeating him, Arikurin enters Shikari's mind to break Gengo's hold on him. He finds him trapped deep in his consciousness, wrapping himself with memories of his mother. Arikurin cuts out Gengo's tongue, robbing him of his ability to talk. Defeated, Gengo is taken into custody by Shikari. Most of the Konoha and Suna forces return to their villages, with a small force remaining behind to help the Land of Silence return to normalcy after Gengo's arrest.

Land of Winter: Fuyugakure ANBU[]

Peace was established between the Five Great Nations and many other smaller shinobi nations, but there were still much conflict in other nations that sparked smaller wars. Shikari was assigned as part of a team to pacify these uprisings. The first mission took him to the Land of Winter in continent of Méihuā. Small towns and villages are scattered throughout the Land of Winter and many cottages and inns can be found along the roads and trails. He would eventually settle with a jonin and retire for a short time once his mission was completed. The two later had a daughter.
Ryuchi Cave[]
Shikari splits his training time for years between the Land of Winter at Ryuchi Cave where he would earn his nickname "Cold-Blood Snake Sage" while working with Fuyu-ANBU. Because of wife's death due to sickness, their daughter's hairs turns grey and her Ice Release is awakened. She uncontrollably freezes anything she touches for weeks. After learning to control her powers with the Fuyugakure ANBU, Shi fathers worries that his daughter is becoming like him in his Root days Konoha.
New Era[]
Ao Arc[]
Shikari receives a message from Arikurin. He revealed what they learned about Victor and his involvement with Kara. He also noted the existence of "Outers" who apparently worked as spies for Kara. In light of this news and what was discovered after investigating Victor's company, Arikurin tasks his subordinates in Otogakure ANBU to investigate “Kara”. He hopes Shikari and his ANBU have any intel. Later, Shikari and Shi arrive in Konoha.
Kawaki Arc[]
Shikari participated in the coordination efforts lead by Shikamaru in preparation for Isshiki's invasion. Deciding not to waste any time as his body would fail in two or three days, Isshiki immediately teleported to Konohagakure to rebrand Kawaki with a Kāma. Upon casually entering the village, he paid no concern to other shinobi. Meeting Isshiki on the roof, Shikari activated his Sage Mode and caused the temperature in the surroundings to drop and freeze. He then attacked with an Ice Dragon Bullet, but Isshiki shrunk it with his special ability.
Shikari blocks Isshiki's attack
Isshikii attacked Shikari but he blocked them with Ice Release: Jagged Ice Wall. Naruto soon arrived. Shocked, the Hokage escaped from his seal, he demanded for Kawaki. When Naruto refused, Isshiki began shrinking various structure to destroy the village-forcing Shikari to help protect the civilians. Naruto who enters Six Paths Sage Mode and begins fighting Isshiki. Sasuke arrives and tosses his katana at Isshiki who attempts to shrink it. However, it was actually Boruto in disguise who teleported Isshiki away to another dimension with Sasuke and Naruto following suit.
New Era: Part II[]
Boruto's Return Arc[]
Shikari returns to Konoha when Shi is injured during the Claw Grime attack on the village. She joined Team Riko to defend the village. She is bitten and turns into a tree. The same happens with another bitten Konoha-nin.
Flashforward[]
After days a few days of travel. Arikurin arrivesd and meets with Shikari
In the wake of Konoha's destruction four years after the Ōtsutsuki attack on the village, Arikurin, Shi, & Ariko arrive at Fuyugakure ANBU HQ.
