A mask resembling the Shinigami's face, it resided on a wall inside the Uzumaki Clan's Mask Storage Temple located on the outskirts of Konohagakure, along with twenty-six other similar-looking masks. It allows the wearer to summon and control the Shinigami by allowing it to possess the user. This enables the user to perform Dead Demon Consuming Seal: Release.
The mask had been created by an Uzumaki generations ago. His powerful life-force and unique chakra affinity could handle acting as a physical conduit for summoning the powerful death entity. On the battlefield he performed amazing feats; such as absorbing the souls of his enemies and even gaining their knowledge. He also created deadly seals which allowed him to permanently take a persons soul and inhibit their reincarnation cycle. After the fourth shinobi war, the Shinigami Mask went lost once more. It was not till another great Uzumaki hunted for it with external help and claimed it as his own that its true potential was reached. Now, through Magai, he has achieved something long thought impossible.
