This article, Shinobi World Tournament (Rai), is property of Rachin123.
This article is part of the storyline of Taisuke: The Series.

The Shinobi World Tournament is an event held twice a year at the colosseum in the Land of Clouds. It is an opportunity for participating villages to demonstrate the prowess of their genin and gain more recognition. A maximum of six genin are allowed to participate from each village. The ninja monks of the Land of Clouds act as proctors and security.

There are two parts to this tournament. Based on the genin's performance during the second phase, they can be promoted to chūnin, even if they aren't victorious.

  • Survival Phase: Involves the genin finding the most scrolls in the ruins of the Land of Clouds within half a day. It is not uncommon for alliances to be made with other genin of one's own village during this phase.
  • Battle Phase: The top 10% with the most scrolls will move on to this phase. During this phase, a genin is randomly matched against another genin in a one on one fight. The Daimyō of the participating countries come to judge this part of the tournament, escorted by bodyguards. Many potential clients come to observe the battles and even bet on the shinobi.

The first tournament took place 20 years before the start of Taisuke: The Series.
