Shiro Fūma, renowned across the shinobi world as the "White Hood", was a powerful Konohagakure Jōnin originating from the Land of Sound. He lost his life at relatively young age, protecting his wife, and all of his children from The Followers of Shiin.
Background[]
Early Life[]
Shiro was born into the Fūma Clan in the Land of Sound. His father was a skilled member of the Fūma Bowguard stationed in Ikarigawa Town. His mother, on the other hand, was from the revered Uzumaki Clan of Uzushiogakure. When his father retired from active duty, their family moved to Konohagakure and sent Shiro to the Ninja Academy.
Shiro during his time at the Academy
There, Shiro was hailed as a genius shinobi and was praised for his talents in the ninja arts, even by the likes of Hiruzen Sarutobi. His father personally trained him in marksmanship and precision, further honing his already exceptional skills. In his prime, Shiro's abilities were said to be matched by only a few of his classmates—the future Sannin.
Second Shinobi World War[]
Toru does reconnaissance
During the Second Shinobi World War, Shiro was teamed with Dan Kato and Sakumo Hatake forming Team Kato. Later, Team Kato and The Sannin were on a joint mission. They were assigned to intercept and eliminate an Kirigakure supply convoy before it could reinforce the enemy front in the Land of Rain. As Shiro lay in wait, his hawk circled high above, tracking the movements of the Hidden Rain unit. It signaled their numbers and direction with subtle shifts in its flight pattern, a language only its master could understand.
Shiro's Mud Wolves
Under the cover of darkness, Sakumo’s White Fang blade tore through enemy patrols. Shiro, from the treetops, fired chakra-infused arrows at the foes tapped in his mud wolves. However, just as they launched their ambush, an elite Kiri ANBU unit countered with brutal force. Amid the battle, Dan unleashed his Spirit Transformation Technique, striking down the enemy commander.

But as he returned to his body, an Kiri jōnin landed a devastating blow, piercing Dan’s stomach with an sword, leaving him critically wounded. Seeing this, Shiro loosed an arrow through the jōnin’s throat, but it was too late—Dan was bleeding out. He was brought back by Shiro and Sakumo. While Tsunade was able to stop the bleeding, it was a lost cause as the blood loss was too severe. Eventually, Dan succumbed to his injuries.
Team Kato is disbanded
Team Kato was officially disbanded, but Shiro’s efforts during the war cemented his legacy. His mastery of combat and strategy earned him and his clan immense recognition, elevating him from an ordinary shinobi to a name feared across many nations. They completed many missions that helped Konoha during this time, each one individually leaving their mark. Even after the war, his reputation endured. Foreign shinobi would hesitate before setting foot too close to Konoha’s forests, knowing that should they see the White Hood, their only hope was to run. He became known as the "White Hood”.
Shiro defeats Iwa-Nin
By chance, Shiro stumbled upon an Iwagakure unit crossing the border into the Land of Fire. Recognizing the opportunity, he launched an ambush against the unsuspecting forces. During the clash, one of their captives—Aoide—revealed her true skill, casting a sound-based genjutsu that disoriented the Iwagakure shinobi. As she sang her incantation, her clear, haunting voice echoed across the battlefield, captivating Shiro and drawing his focus to her alone. Her power, woven seamlessly with grace, left a lasting impression on him. After a fierce battle, Shiro defeated the enemy and freed the captives, and in the aftermath of the conflict, the two found themselves bound by a deep and unexpected love.
Post-Second Shinobi World War[]
Arikurin is born
When the war ended, Shiro married Aoide. In time, they welcomed their first child, Arikurin. Once hailed as a war hero, Shiro chose a quieter path after Arikurin’s birth, stepping away from the battlefield to embrace fatherhood. He took on safer, strategic missions and dedicated himself to training the next generation of shinobi, ensuring they would be strong enough to protect the village in his stead.
For a time, peace seemed possible. One evening, after returning from a mission, Shiro was met with joyous news—Aoide was pregnant again. He held her close, whispering promises of a future where their children would never know war. Months later, she safely gave birth to twins, Akiri and Akira. Their home soon was filling with the laughter of new life. But peace was never meant to last.
Shiro's home is attacked
The Followers of Shiin had not forgotten. For years, they scoured the lands, relentlessly searching for Aoide. At last, they found her. Their home was brutally attacked, torn apart in a fiery assault. Shiro reacted instantly, his instincts sharpened by years of war. He cut through over ten enemies, his arrows tearing them apart like leaves in a storm. But then came the final agent—a warrior unlike the rest. This one was stronger, faster, a master of assassination. The battle between them was furious, their attacks shaking the earth beneath them.
Shiro uses chakra threads, killing himself
Shiro knew he could not afford to lose. Not with his wife and children still within reach of these monsters. But his opponent was relentless, their strength matching his own. There was only one way to ensure his family’s escape. With no other choice, Shiro invoked a forbidden murder-suicide technique—a deadly jutsu that linked his heart to his opponent’s, mirroring any internal damage inflicted on one to the other. His enemy's smirk faltered as they realized what he had done. He struck. Both hearts stopped. As Aoide went to Shiro's side, Arikurin and Akiri were swept into the night, their small forms lost in the chaos. Akira was taken—her cries swallowed by the shadows.
Shiro's body is buried
Shiro's brother carried him home. In honor of his sacrifice, Shiro was laid to rest in the Konoha Cemetery, his name etched into legend. To this day, in the forests surrounding Konoha, the wind still howls—and those who know the tales say it is The White Hood, watching over his family, even in death.

Shiro had red hair and wore a standard Konoha-nin uniform with a pair of gloves, flak jacket, and bandages on his left arm that hold kunai. He carried his Bow and Arrows on his back and his distinctive white hooded shirt with one sleeve that had the standard crest of Uzushiogakure on it. The hood Shiro wore, brought fear to his enemies, as shown from the reaction of a Iwagakure unit who would find cover upon seeing it.
