Shizukane Monastery (静鐘寺), was an ancient monastery in The Land of Wind. The monks there were among the last to uphold the teachings of Bunpuku, striving to pacify rather than exploit powerful chakra-based entities.
History[]

Rust-Colored Gateway
The monks of Shizukane Monastery all bore distinctive marks on their foreheads: small black dots that represented their level of mastery in the ancient art of Fūinjutsu. These dots were a visible testament to a monk’s growth, skill, and spiritual development. The head monk gains the title Sōke, head of the house. The entrance, known as the "Rust-Colored Gateway", could only be opened with a special seal.

The last Sōke was Tetsuya Sōgen, who had reached the level of 5 dots. During his time as the head monk, he not only continued to protect and pass down the teachings of Bunpuku, but also took on students, guiding them in the ways of both spiritual enlightenment and Fūinjutsu mastery. His students, deeply dedicated to the art, became the future guardians of the monastery’s sacred knowledge. Under Tetsuya's tutelage, the monastery's legacy of pacifying powerful chakra-based entities was preserved for future generations. For years, the monastery continued to guard its knowledge and the sacred teachings of Bunpuku.

The Followers of Shiin breach the gate
At some point, The Keepers of Shiin's Will. formed an alliance with Shizukane Monastery. But this tranquility was shattered when Raizan Kagerou, driven by jealousy and a desire for power, betrayed the very home that raised him. Raizan stole the Eight-Point Barrier Seal. In a carefully orchestrated assault, he allowed the The Followers of Shiin to launched a surprise attack in search of Aoide Shiin.

Shizukane Monastery is destroyed
Tetsuya fought with everything he had, his five-dot mastery pushing back wave after wave of invaders. One by one, his fellow monks fell, their teachings burned away in an instant. Tetsuya clapped his hands together—his fingers forming intricate seals at blinding speed. But even a master could not stand against an army alone. Wounded and outnumbered, Tetsuya Sōgen fell and the Monastery was burned to the ground during this assault.
