After failing to learn the Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, the jutsu invented by her grandmother, Izayoi started to study the basics of the technique and working on her chakra control, eventually coming up with the Shugoken (守護圏, lit "Protection Sphere").
Usage[]
While in appearance resembling the Rasengan, it is actually many thin chakra blades, like in the Protective Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, bowed and formed together in a ball shape. Because of the cutting nature of the chakra, the jutsu doesn't only explode on contact, but also causes deep cuts.
