The Star Pearl Technique, occasionally referred to as Hoshi no Tama (ほしのたま, Star Ball), is a very ancient technique of the Sarutobi Clan, and a Fire Release technique quite common among their ranks, and Konohagakure in general. It is generally left unnamed because of its commonality, however.
The said technique uses mild levels of chakra control to increase the acceleration of chakra throughout the body, and in particular, the tenketsu near the hands of the user. This, in turn, causes superheated chakra to then react with the atmosphere by allowing it to seep outwards from the body, turning it into flames; subsequently using shape transformation, the user turns it into a simple ball shape. The technique's influence was predominantly driven by the mythical Hoshi no Tama of legend, which was said to be a portion of a Kitsune's magical power.
Nonetheless, though the sphere holds limited applications on its own aside from minor offensive measure, a skilled user like Hibiko may manipulate it on a grand scale without the use of hand seals, proving a point that even a simple technique may prove deadly in the hands of the right user.
