Steel Release: Flamberge is a collaboration technique that utilizes both Steel Release and Fire Release nature chakra transformations. The technique creates a longsword from the steel nature chakra and the embeds fire nature chakra. The steel absorbs it and, while it does not appear to be on fire, it causes anyone cut by the blade to be set on fire. After the fire nature chakra is absorbed by the blade, the blade takes a fanning motion much like living flames. This is imitated throughout the jutsus duration thus making the attack fairly hard to evade. However, it also makes it hard for the wielder since he or she has to contend with a moving blade.
Once the blade hits an object, thing, or person, it is automatically set ablaze. It can even catch water on fire but a powerful Water release technique can extinguish the blades Fire Release power. Once this happens, the blade itself becomes a pale, dull version of it. It can barely cut or do any damage in this form. Any attempts to embed it with fire nature chakra won:t do anything to help it.
Much like it:s parent jutsu, Steel Release: Zweihänder, it can be thrown using the steel nature chakra to repel it quickly forward. However, unlike its parent jutsu, this technique is much apt to being wielded since it does the most damage when wielded.
Trivia[]
- Much like the nature transformation Storm Release, some of the Steel Release jutsu have English names that uses kanji to somewhat match them phonetically. However, unlike the Storm Release, it is in German instead of English.
- Flamberge means flame blade in German. It is based off a real life flamberge that had a blade that resembled moving flames.
