This technique requires the user to be airborne or have the high ground over a target. The technique creates a small dark cloud that hovers over the target in the air. Once a few allotted seconds have passed, the storm cloud releases a bolt of bright yellow energy, much akin to a lightning bolt, down onto the target. This bolt of energy can only travel vertically and in one position, making it fairly easy to avoid unless otherwise busy, occupied or trapped. The hovering cloud is also a give-away.
Alternatively, the user can move or increase the size of the cloud by expending more chakra but this route requires keen focus and chakra control. If opted to move, the cloud can trail a target for a brief amount of time before releasing its payload. Should a cloud be enlarged, the resulting energy bolt will grow in size, as well, but its power will remain the same.
