Suijamyaku (大蛇脈, literally meaning: Water Serpent Pulse, meaning (Viz): Hydro Snake Pulse) is a kekkei genkai that gives its wielder the ability to transform partially or fully into a serpent-like entity. This kekkei genkai is inherited among members of the Kaitei Clan. This ability apparently alters the user's appearance granting them scales and gills somewhere on their body. The location of the scales and gills varies from individual to individual as does the color.
Background[]
The Suijamyaku originated in the Land of Water and was wielded by the Kaitei Clan. Because of the Kaitei Clan's kekkei genkai, they were considered one of the most powerful clans in the Kirigakure.
The Suijamyaku was granted to the Kaitei Clan by a creature called Tannins. This Tannin blessed the founding members of the Kaitei Clan with it's blood after they fought bravely to protect it from dieing at the hand of other ninja.
Around the time of the Kaguya clan's massacre the Kaitei clan was the first of the bloodline clan to be hunted, the hunting failed because of a spy placed in the head of the Kirigakure security. After learning of their execution, the Kaitei Clan set on leaving Kirigakure and head to a home that love bloodlines Konohagakure. During the relocation attempted, the Kaitei Clan relocation was interrupted by the Mizukage who count wind of them leaving. Sending out the hunter-nin, the Mizukage order out that every Kaitei must die hence starting the Kaitei Clan Massacre. Afterwards, at least half of the clan were killed leaving a good chunk to flee towards Konohagakure where they reside now.
Abilities[]
The main abilities of Suijamyaku is allowing the user to use a special transformation technique to partially or fully transform into a serpent-like entity called an Tannin and to manipulate the growth of their scales and tails. These transformations can take place within a moment's notice, allowing users to make highly effective surprise attacks.
Transforming into a full tannin is this kekkei genkai's most powerful ability and requires a tremendous amount of chakra, but at the cost of the chakra it grants the user amplified strength and sturdy scales that require tenacious techniques to pierce.
Aside from transformations, the user is also capable of manipulating the growth of their scales and tails. These scales are extremely tough, with swords barely leaving scratches. Tannin are said to have more than one tail, meaning user can manfest a great magnitudes of tails for attacking, defending, and supporting.
By manipulating their scales to cover their whole body or user their tail to wrap around their whole body, the user creates an "Absolute Defense". By manipulating their tails to grow beyond their body, the user is capable of creating spears and blades to pierce an opponent from a safe distance. The scales granted by Suijamyaku also grants the user resistance to both cold and hot temperatures making them be able to withstand most fire and water based jutsus.
Suijamyaku users are able to breathe underwater due to being able to manifest gills as well as having the ability to swim at great speeds. User of this Kekkei Genkai are adept at using genjutsu, mostly using genjutsu that cause the affect of fear.

- Members of the Kaitei Clan refers to many of there Suijamyaku-depandant jutsu as "paths". Each path is named after a different shade of the color blue. For example, one jutsu may be named Path of the Cerulean Dragon.
