The Sword of Genso (元素の剣, Genso no Ken) is a chokutō forged by Shindō Shunsoku during his kenjutsu training. It serves as his personal weapon throughout Part II and New Era. It has a black scabbard, matching hilt, circular bronze handguard, and a much longer blade than a regular chokutō. It is also one of the most durable swords in the shinobi world, being unable to be cut or damaged by Orochimaru’s Sword of Kusanagi, Sasuke’s Chidori Katana, and the full might of A.
Abilities[]
Shindō channels his vast and constant chakra through the chokutō, generating all five of the basic chakra natures that he possesses. Like Sasuke with his lightning chakra, Shindō can channel his lightning chakra also, but also to do so with water, wind, earth, and fire throughout the blade using the principles of chakra flow to extend its cutting range and its sharpness through high-frequency vibrations, heat transfer, etc. He used the sword to engage against Orochimaru Tobi, and Madara Uchiha. Afterward, he carried the blade well into the New Era during his travels around the world, intending to forge his own destiny and rebuild the Shunsoku clan. He intends to pass the Sword of Genso down to the next heir of his clan and claims that it is his sole legacy for the future.
