Taiseki (タイセキ) was a jōnin from Iwagakure and a member of Kentaro’s Assault Team.
Background[]
Personality[]
He was quiet, unlike his partner Kakkō. He was also very cautious,[1] as he took his battle with Kakashi and Obito “nice and slow”, even if they were kids. Even during their battle, he was careful to immediately discard the kunai with Kakashi’s blood on it so that he could not be tracked.[2] After getting fatally wounded by Obito, Taiseki developed a hatred for Uchiha and hated fighting children as his pride as an Iwa shinobi was hurt. When he faced off against members of Konoha 13, he expressed disdain of fighting genin; however, Taiseki expressed absolute hatred towards Sasuke for his Uchiha heritage, remembering how he narrowly survived from his battle against Obito. He did, however, express shock and fear towards Shindō Shunsoku, a tokubetsu genin, and found him to be a formidable opponent, reminding him of his father, Toshirō, and vowing to avenge his fallen brethren during the war by killing the last Shunsoku.
Appearance[]
He has a wide frame, with neck-length black hair, and a bandanna with his village’s forehead protector. He wore the standard Iwagakure shinobi uniform, complete with a flak jacket and a shirt having no right sleeve along with a dark indument hanging from his waist onto his right leg, reaching to his knees.
Abilities[]

Reflecting Taiseki’s cautious nature, he could perform the Hiding with Camouflage Technique, which allowed him to manipulate the light around himself to become invisible. Taiseki could use this technique to move around and strike his enemies unseen. He is also accomplished in Earth Release ninjutsu, like generating rockslides on his enemies, cause cave-ins like he did against Team Minato, impale his opponents, and entrapping one or multiple targets at once.

- Taiseki (堆積) means “sedimentation”. It can also be an irregular pronunciation for “big stone” (大石, usually pronounced “ōishi”).
