Takeshi Higashinuma was a former Mist Seven Swordsman who was hired by Kumogakure to assassinate the Third Hokage during the Third Great Shinobi. He was unsuccessful in the attempt, and was killed by ANBU guards.
Biography
Takeshi was born and raised, like many others, to become a swordsman. And like many others, Takeshi's ultimate goal was to be one of the swordsmen recognized by the Mizukage. As so, he challenged many of his rivals to duels to the death, gaining strength and power with each man he killed in battle. However, this practice became outlawed, like the massacre of genin that occurred years earlier, by Zabuza Momochi.
Forced to discontinue this practice, Takeshi has taken to researching methods to create the ultimate sword. He looked into the myths of the legendary Kusanagi, amongside many other great weapons of legend. With years of research and hardship, Takeshi created what would become his signature weapon, Hainokiba. It could create a black ash which hangs in the air, due to its lightweight properties. Through combining the creation of the black ash with the consumption of chakra, unique jutsu could be created. This blade eventually gave Takeshi a title of his own: Calligrapher of the Mist.
Behind the scenes
- Takeshi is planned to have influence incorporated from Claus von Stauffenburg, a German colonel who played a major role in the July 20th Plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler.
