The Thunder Dance (サンダーダンス, Sandādansu) is a fighting style developed for the Lightning Mode. It was invented by the progenitor of the Shunsoku clan, Raikō Shunsoku.
Legend has it that Raikō overcame his fear of thunder and lightning by ironically figuring out his natural affinity for Lightning Release and trained in harnessing the power of his kekkei genkai, the Rōtasumāku. After a short period, he developed his own taijutsu, relying on speed, strength, agility, and efficiency. He passed his teachings throughout his clan, making the Shunsoku one of the deadliest ninja clans in Uzushiogakure and throughout the Warring States Period, just before the establishment of the Shinobi Organizational System and Five Great Shinobi Countries. He was also able to use it regularly to combat and physically defeat tailed beasts.
Trivia[]
- Kushina Uzumaki stated a single Shunsoku clan member can fight one-on-one against every Kage and tailed beast alone. This earned the Shunsoku clan the moniker “Clan of Zero-Tailed Beasts” (零尾獣の一族, Reiojū no Ichizoku, Viz: Zero-Tailed Beast Clan).
- Even after the Fourth Shinobi World War, Shindō kept all his shinobi skills and used the Six Paths Sacred Treasures before passing everything down to his daughter.
