Using their chakra, the user manipulates or creates an external source of wind. They form it into a single or several blades of wind which are capable of slicing through their target with ease. Certain users are able to alternatively use this technique without hand seals through a weapon like a sword or Giant Folding Fan. Temari and a group of tessenjutsu users from Sunagakure were able to collaboratively use this technique as a means of countering a powerful, incoming torrent of wind.

Trivia

• Users of the Wind Release: Air Current Wild Dance or even the Blade of Wind could recreate the Wind Release: Wind Cutter Technique, but to a lesser degree. For example, Baki was able to skewer multiple White Zetsu clones after performing two previous wind attacks.
