Yoru (夜, Night) was a samurai from the Land of Iron and founder of the original Yahan before his death.
Personality[]
Yoru is an individual that seemingly lives for the rush of simply fighting and has been stated to desire to fight anyone that gets his blood rushing. He seems like a belligerent and cruel person. His reputation for cruelty and ruthlessness began as a Samurai He willingly uses his own men and others as pawns to fulfill his ambitions, he was blunt about the purpose that his recruits were needed for, forging any form of manipulation by pretending to be benevolent to inspire loyalty. Despite being cruel and ruthless Yoru was a calm, disciplined and level-headed person, capable of seeing through deceptions.
Appearance[]
Yoru was a tall and middle-aged man of lean-built and fair-skin. He had long wavy black hair that he kept in ponytail with some loose strands hanging over his forehead and bushy sideburns. He had a long face with pronounced cheekbones and tear-troughs under his eyes, plus stubble on his chin and upper-lip. He had grey eyes with a long scar running down over his left eye.
Normally, he was dressed in a simple samurai attire consisting of a dull green robe and beige pants. In battle, he donned traditional samurai armor with two large slash marks forming a cross on his chest-plate, several faulds, and one shoulder guard.
Abilities[]
Kenjutsu[]
Yoru is an expert swordsman who wields the White Light Kusanagi . He is a master of Iai — a style of swordsmanship which involves the user rapidly unsheathing his blade to slash the enemies, and then re-sheathing it after completing the attack. Yoru's mastery of Iai is such that shinobi have stated how it was useless to try and perform hand seal-induced techniques against him, due to the fact that Yoru is capable of attacking within the short time it takes to make the necessary hand seals. The speed and precision of his strikes are able to inflict a lethal blow on his opponent without staining the blade with blood. His precision was even able to cut off a lit candle's wick and keep it lit on the edge of one of his swords, stop his attacks a moments notice, and produce shock-waves from his strikes to intercept enemy attacks.
Due to his extensive knowledge of swordplay, Yoru can judge the weaponry skill of his opponents, telling how potent or diminished the opponent's skills are, after a single clash. Like his subordinates, he is also capable of channeling chakra through his sword to increase its cutting power or send a ranged chakra strike, should his opponent be distanced from him. He can also fire a wave of chakra with a swift swing of his sword as a powerful long-range attack.
