Yoshiteru Yuki (雪ヨシテル, Yuki Yoshiteru) is a shinobi of Shimogakure and one of the last members of the Yuki clan.

Personality

Yoshiteru has been described as being reliable. During his battle with Sasuke Uchiha, he was saddened to find out about a distant relative, Haku, and would have wanted to reunite with him and rebuild their clan. During the war, he was an effective leader as he was second-in-command captain of the Allied Shinobi Forces’ Fifth Division under Asashi.

Appearance

Yoshiteru wears the standard Shimo attire. His helmet is equipped with horns to designate his rank being the head of Shimo’s security forces.

Abilities

Kenjutsu

As a high-ranking officer of Shimogakure’s security forces, Yoshiteru is an experienced fighter and proficient in kenjutsu, preferring the two-sword style. To boost the reach and the cutting ability of his swords, he can channel chakra through them. Furthermore, he can use said chakra for a long-range attack and perform Iaidō and its variants. According to Asashi, Yoshiteru is the only man in Shimo to be his equal.

Intelligence

Yoshiteru is also a very intelligent fighter, able to test and successfully gauge Sasuke Uchiha using his ice clones and with just a few moves, he picked apart the Uchiha’s abilities one-by-one. He also possessed knowledge on Jūgo and Suigetsu Hōzuki and their general abilities. He was unable, however, to figure out Karin Uzumaki until she used her Uzumaki abilities which turned the tables in Taka’s favor. He also knew about the Kaguya clan’s Shikotsumyaku as he used his ice techniques to perfectly counter most of Kimimaro’s attacks until the Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation was lifted.

Part II

Five Kage Summit (Arc)

Main article: Naruto: A Shinobi Story/Five Kage Summit (Arc)Under orders from Urakaku, Yoshiteru leads a squad to seek out and capture the infiltrating Sasuke Uchiha. After the latter revealed himself, Yoshiteru angrily launches an attack, which is repelled by Sasuke’s sword. Ignoring Sasuke’s warnings, Yoshiteru rushes towards him to bring him down using a more powerful attack, only for Sasuke to parry followed by an intense kenjutsu fight, only for Yoshiteru to use his clan’s kekkei genkai against Sasuke.

• Yoshiteru is likely named after the 13^th shogun of the Ashikaga shogunate, Ashikaga Yoshiteru.
