Zangetsu Hōzuki (斬月, Hōzuki Zangetsu) hailed as the Human Tailed Beast (ニン尾獣, Ninbijū), is a jōnin-ranked Shinobi from Kirigakure's Hōzuki clan. Zangetsu is a trained assassin who has mastered the art of killing.

Zangetsu possess the ability to use both water and wind releases. He's able to cast powerful ninjutsu from both natures that compliment him well in combat. As a member of the Hōzuki Clan he has a natural affinity to the Water Release, being able to utilize the nature from an extremely young age. He mastered the clan's Hiden the Hydrification Technique prior to becoming apart of a genin team. Zangetsu is also able to shoot off compressed bullets of water from his finger tips.
